  • GBP v EUR - Daily Swings and More to Know

4 consecutive days of 0.5% daily swings in GBP v EUR, remains above 1.18 mid-market for now

It has been a week to remember for our customers trading £-€, who have seen the rate at its highest point since August 2022. It has been amazing to give the majority of our customer base some extremely good news for once!

The last couple of days we have witnessed an enormous amount of both SPOT and Forward Contract trades and with the rate still holding strong, there is still time to jump on the 'bandwagon'.

The Pound has been gaining on the Euro for exactly a month now and has risen 2% in this time. We mentioned last month that GBP was having an unusually quiet year (especially in comparison to the previous 3!), but that has now all changed and volatility looks set to remain until year-end and beyond.

The Pound has lost 0.5% since yesterday versus the Euro after supportive developments in French politics and the odds of an August interest rate cut rising for the UK..
